Rayburn wood heaters, wood stoves and wood cookers. Also a gas cooker option. 200 SERIES DIMENSIONS

HEIGHT

rayburn gas or wood stove

820mm is the height to the working surface. If the stove is to be matched to adjoining standard kitchen units at 910mm, then a plinth will need to be constructed of 90mm thickness. If the Rayburn is to be free-standing and a lower height is preferred , then there is no reason why the stove cannot stand at normal floor height.

1245mm is the minimum clearance needed for the insulating lids to open. Obviously considerably more distance is required to allow for comfortable handling, particularly where the stove is installed in a recess, when a further 100mm is desirable. Don't forget to add the thickness of any plinth or hearth used, onto these dimensions.

WIDTH

840mm is the actual basic width of the Rayburn, but there are other clearances which must be allowed for.

rayburn gas or wood stove

In the case of the oil fired models 200K, there is an oil control valve (OCV) attached to the left side, increasing the width by 100mm. AGAin, easy access is required for operation and servicing, therefore we recommend that the gap be increased to 300mm. Total width then becomes 840mm + 300mm = 1140mm.

In some situations it is possible to accommodate the OCV in an adjacent kitchen cupboard, the latter having no side wall and thus not requiring the additional 300mm clearance.

rayburn wood stoveSolid fuel models, 212SFW & 216SFW have no components on the side panels, but an additional 50mm can be useful for ease of making the water pipe connections.

More importantly, all the solid fuel stoves, 200SFW, 212SFW & 216SFW, if installed adjacent to combustible materials, must have a clearance of 150mm along each side. Under these special circumstances the overall clearance required would be :- 150mm + 840mm + 150mm = 1140mm.

If any stove is installed adjacent to a right hand wall which extends beyond the front of the stove, then additional clearance will be required to permit the oven doors being opened beyond 90 degrees.

DEPTH

Dimension 'E' at 457mm is the actual base measurement front to back of the Rayburn and is the size at which a hearth or plinth should be constructed.

The top plate overhangs the stove front, extending to dimension 'F' 510mm, with a further increase of 'G' 65mm to include the handrail. Maximum overall depth is therefore 510mm + 65mm = 565mm.

Dimension 'J' at 95mm is taken from the rear of the stove to the centre line of the flue pipe.

WATER PIPE CONNECTIONS

A 1" copper nipple is supplied with the stove giving a male BSP connection.

Solid Fuel Models 212SFW & 216SFW

  • Dimension 'A' from the base of the stove to the centre of the pipe tapping. 385mm
  • Dimension 'B' From centre to centre of the pipe tappings. 305mm
  • Dimension 'C' From the rear of the stove to the centre line of both tappings. 100mm

FLUE PIPE CONNECTIONS

Oil Models 200K

  • Dimension 'A' is from the right hand side of the stove to the centre line of the flue at 100mm
  • Dimension 'B' is from the rear of the stove to the centre line of the flue at 100mm
  • Dimension 'C' is from the base of the stove to the start of the flue pipe in the flue socket, 995mm.
  • The flue socket is designed to accept 100mm internal diameter cast iron pipe, which is the preferred material. Steel pipe may be used as an alternative, but with its thinner wall and thus lesser outside diameter, will be a loose fit requiring packing.

Gas Models 200G & 200L

  • Dimension 'A' is from the right hand side of the stove to the centre line of the flue at 95mm
  • Dimension 'B' is from the rear of the stove to the centre line of the flue at 95mm

Solid Fuel Models 200SFW, 212SFW & 216SFW

  • Dimension 'A' 1000mm is from the base of the stove to the start of the flue pipe in the flue chamber socket.
  • Dimension 'B' 95mm is from the right hand side of the stove to the centre line of the flue.
  • Dimension 'E' 95mm is from the rear of the stove to the centre line of the flue.
  • Under certain circumstances it is possible to use a rear, horizontal flue connection in which case Dimension 'C' 32mm is from the rear of the stove into the spigot which accepts the flue pipe, whilst dimension 'D' 910mm is from the base of the stove to the centre line of the horizontal flue pipe.
  • In both cases, the flue connection is designed to accept cast iron pipe of nominal 125mm diameter, is the preferred material.

FUEL PIPE CONNECTIONS

Oil Fired Models 200K

  • Dimension 'A' 260mm, refers to the distance between the front of the stove (measured at base plate level) and the inlet connection on the oil control valve (OCV)
  • Dimension 'B' 165mm, is from the stove base plate vertically to the inlet point and centre line of the incoming oil pipe. This dimension will vary slightly in accordance with the burner commissioning requirements.

Gas Fired Models 200G & 200L

  • Dimension 'L' is the height from the stove base to the centre line of the incoming gas supply pipe.
  • Dimension 'K' refers to the distance from the front of the stove (measured at base plate level) to the centre of the pipe.
  • Note that there is no requirement for an external gas cock to be fitted.
